Hello! My name is Mallory Vaughn, School Counselor for WCES. I joined the Waterville family in 2014 and work with grades K-5.

I provide a comprehensive developmental school counseling program that includes: classroom guidance lessons, small group and individual counseling, consultation, coordination of services, and crisis intervention. School counselors work as a team with school staff, parents, and community to create a caring climate and atmosphere where students can reach their academic potential.

Early identification and intervention of children’s academic and personal/social needs is essential in removing barriers to learning and in promoting academic achievement. The knowledge, attitudes, and skills that students acquire in the areas of academic, career, and personal/social development during these elementary years serve as the foundation for future success" (American School Counselor Association, 2010).
