All About Mrs. Shope

My name is Teah Shope and I am so excited to welcome your children into my first grade class!  I have been teaching 1st grade at Waterville since 2008.  Teaching is definitely my calling and I cannot wait to start our new school year together!

I am promising you that I will dedicate myself to your children this year and will work towards instilling in each child a love of learning.  I plan on providing a nurturing environment for my students to feel free to become all they can be.  I feel strongly about communication and teamwork between parents and teachers.  I will do my best to keep you informed and involved in your child’s classroom life.  If you ever need to contact me you can reach me through text, email, note or by calling the school.

Let me tell you a little about myself!  I am originally from Guatemala, Central America, was adopted by a family here in Cleveland and grew up here.  I am a product of Bradley County Schools myself and I feel proud to be giving back as a teacher in the system.  I graduated from Lee University in December 2007 and then went on to do an interim position in 1st grade at Hopewell  Elementary
