Class Mission Statement

We the fifth grade class, pledge to do our best, in reading, math, and all the rest. We'll be responsible for all we do. We'll respect ourselves and others too. We'll be ready every day, because that's the only way. We're here to learn all we need, to try our best succeed.    

Leaders for Life

1. I am the captain of my ship. Responsibility - Goal Setting
2. I am in "ship-shape". Healthy Living - Mind, body, and soul
3. I chart my own course. Self-discipline - Planning/Strategies
4. I set sail. Courage - Taking action, self-confidence, initiative, motivation, work ethic
5. I am a good crewmate. Friendship/Teamwork - Caring, respect, empathy, manners, etiquette
6. I lend a hand on deck. Service to Others - Community, county, and world through patriotism and citizenship
7. I check my compass. Self-reflection - Honesty
8. I persevere through storms. Character Development - perseverance, problem solving, and creativity
